The 150,000 tons/year CO2 capture demonstration project (CCS) of the China Energy Investment Group Jingjie Company was the largest full-process post-combustion CO2 capture and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) sequestration demonstration project at the time in China. The project’s core power equipment includes two screw-type CO2 compressors and two screw-type liquefaction ice machines produced by MOON-TECH.
The project passed its trial run and was officially commissioned on June 25, 2021. During the trial, it continuously produced industrial-grade liquid CO2 with a purity of 99.5%, and the actual maximum liquid production capacity reached 110% of the design capacity. It successfully achieved large-scale CO2 capture from coal-fired power plant flue gas, serving as an important demonstration for future large-scale low-concentration CO2 capture projects.
